For IELTS schools and training centres, SBF can come to your school and teach your teachers some of the most important facets of the IELTS test, and show new formulae for the writing tasks. We also explain the importance of the Marking Criteria (using the public versions of the Band Descriptors)

There are two Teacher Training sessions – the first focuses on important aspects of IELTS, and what needs to be taught to students to get higher scores. The second looks at the Band Descriptors (using the public version only!) and how they actually work – what does ‘fluency’ actually mean? What is the difference between ‘cohesion’ and ‘coherence’? What is a ‘pronunciation feature’?

Time is also allocated to a Q&A session for teachers to ask their questions, and (where permissible) have them answered.
